Chief Accountant
We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead and manage our accounting operations with a strong focus on financial closings, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a proven track record in managing month-end and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy, and adhering to regulatory and internal financial standards
Role Description:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Prepare and review financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and withholding taxes.
- Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate the annual audit process.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing training and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and support strategic planning.
- Maintain and enhance accounting systems and procedures to improve operational efficiency .
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent is a plus).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting.
- Experience in financial management and accounting.
- Strong background in financial closings, reporting, and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong understanding of IFRS or GAAP.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
